• WHAT CAN I EXPECT ON A LAKE MICHIGAN FISHING CHARTER?

  If you have never had the chance to fish the "BIG LAKE" or are considering a charter for this summer, you should really give it a try! We are truly blessed with a world class fishery on Lake Michigan.
  It is not uncommon to boat fifteen fish in a five hour period.

   

  WHAT IF I HAVE NEVER BEEN FISHING BEFORE?

  Nooo problem! Although the fish we catch can be pretty big, the equipment I use on-board is sturdy and easy to use. You'll receive plenty of instructions how to use the equipment and tips on fighting the fish, but feel free to ask questions.... I want you to get as much out of your trip as you do!!

   

  WHAT KIND OF FISH WILL WE CATCH?

  The management of this resource over the twenty plus years I have been chartering has been outstanding. Chinook salmon in the twelve to seventeen pound class are a regular part of most trips. The big hogs over twenty five pounds are not as common as they used to be.
  The size, species, and numbers of fish will depend mainly on what time of the season you take your charter. The general rule of thumb is in the springtime, we catch large quantities of fish, but smaller in average size. In the summer, we catch larger size fish and more variety of species. In the fall, typically we catch the largest fish of the year. Trophy fish! While fishing conditions do change, you can be assured that we will put you on to the hottest action possible!

  WHAT WILL I NEED TO BRING ON A FISHING CHARTER?

  Actually surprisingly very little! All the fishing equipment is provided for you, so you'll only need to bring: food, drinks, adequate clothing, a cooler to transport your fish home, and a fishing license. If you don't have a license click here.

   

  WHAT KIND OF BOAT WILL WE BE ON?

  The "Nooo Problem" is a state-of-the-art vessel maintained to the highest standards. We offer the finest fishing tackle available which has been perfectly matched to the fish we target. . The boat is properly outfitted with all of the Coast Guard required safety and navigational equipment and is always thoroughly inspected, insured, and maintained. Captain Bill is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain and your safety and comfort is his number one priority!

   

  HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN I BRING?

  By Wisconsin permit, we are only allowed to carry up to six passengers. However, six people are not a required number!

   

  WHAT IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?

  Weather is as big of a factor as any and when the conditions are favorable you can expect huge fish. Weather fronts, sky conditions, barometer and sea state all play a role in turning on the fish that dreams are made of.
  I always look for barometer movement. A steady barometer may offer a great chance to get a suntan, but it is not conducive to trophy fishing. When the sky turns black and the waves start to build , the odds of huge fish are definitely on your side. In the event that your captain determines the lake is too rough to fish, we will do our best to notify you ahead of time and re-schedule your date. However, there may be days when this decision is made at the dock. Your deposit will be forwarded to another date. We do fish in the rain, so be prepared and bring your rain gear!
